Troopers said they were notified about "verbal threats (...) directed toward multiple administrators" on Friday morning, Feb. 23.
Investigators conducted interviews and seized electronic devices before arresting a 12-year-old boy on Monday, Feb. 26, state police said. He's charged with causing or risking catastrophe, threatening to use weapons of mass destruction, terroristic threats, and reckless endangerment, according to the release.
The boy was taken to a juvenile detention center in Northampton County, troopers said.
Residents can expect an increased police presence at the school in the days ahead, the release adds.
